Shores & Switchbacks is meant to become an event that brings together athletic challenge, open encounter and social impact in a meaningful way.
Core idea
The ride is the excuse. Bringing people together is the point.
At its core, the project is about bringing together people from different backgrounds through movement. Not through big slogans, but through a shared experience outdoors, through respect, openness and the joy of being part of something good.
The event should remain independent from party politics while clearly standing for dignity, respect, diversity and a healthy sense of togetherness.
Impact
If the project generates a surplus, the plan is to channel it into social projects that bring together people from all backgrounds and social situations.
Joy
For all its ambition, fun still matters. Shores & Switchbacks should feel open, alive and welcoming.
